A law firm seeks a motivated Medical Malpractice Litigation Attorney in Bloomington, IL. This role offers the opportunity to manage a high-quality caseload and work directly with senior partners and a sophisticated client base. The position begins with an in-office period for integration, transitioning to a hybrid work model.

Duties

• Manage all phases of defense litigation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and expert development.
• Advocate for hospitals and insurance carriers in court and at depositions.
• Draft persuasive legal filings and provide detailed status reporting to insurance adjusters.
• Contribute to a collaborative, multi-discipline team environment to solve complex legal challenges.

Requirements

• Illinois Bar License in good standing.
• Experience in medical malpractice or insurance defense litigation preferred.
• Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Willingness to travel 50% for depositions and court proceedings.
• Must be able to relocate to Bloomington, IL area before starting work.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Illinois Bar License.
