Duties:

• Prepare, review, and analyze legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and reports to carriers
• Perform in-depth legal research, primarily using Westlaw
• Take and defend depositions
• Represent clients at conferences, motion hearings, and various court appearances
• Oversee and manage complex cases from inception to resolution
• Collaborate with experts and team members to ensure successful case outcomes

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of experience, ideally in insurance defense
• Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing
• Strong experience in personal injury or bodily injury litigation (plaintiff or defense) preferred
• Experience or knowledge of the insurance industry or corporate risk management is a plus
• Strong case management and discovery skills
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
• Proven capability to take depositions and work effectively with experts

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Florida Bar License in good standing
