Mid-Level Attorney in Civil Litigation

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level attorney with 4+ years of civil litigation and/or insurance defense experience in Boston, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will manage cases from inception through resolution, demonstrating strong motion practice and deposition skills. Experience with insurance coverage, general liability, or related practice areas is preferred.

Duties

• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear in court, hearings, and mediations.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Develop case strategies and provide legal analysis.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff.

Requirements

• 4+ years of civil litigation and/or insurance defense experience.
• Strong motion practice and deposition experience.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Experience with insurance coverage, general liability, or related practice areas preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.
