Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with 4-6 years of experience to join the Energy Team in Milwaukee, WI. This position focuses on transactional work in the power and renewable energy sector, involving acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and development arrangements.

Duties

  • Represent and advise clients in power and renewable energy transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, and development agreements.
  • Manage due diligence and support transactions through signing and closing.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across offices.
  • Engage directly with partners, senior attorneys, and clients.

Requirements

  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and related commercial matters.
  • Strong drafting, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative, cross-office practice.

Education

  • JD from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice.
  • Timely admission to the Bar of the hiring office's state required.

Skills

  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
