Estate Planning And Probate Associate Attorney
A respected law firm based in Bellevue, WA, is currently seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to contribute to its expanding Trusts and Estates practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated estate planning matters and complex probate and trust administration cases, serving clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate will be experienced, detail-oriented, and comfortable working collaboratively across offices.
Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments
Oversee probate and trust administration processes, including estate pleadings, asset and liability identification, and notices to heirs, creditors, and relevant agencies
Advise clients on lifetime gifting strategies and estate planning approaches
Provide analysis on federal and state tax implications of estate plans
Model and present the financial and practical impacts of proposed estate strategies
Prepare and review federal and state estate tax and gift tax returns
Draft advanced trust instruments such as GRATs, SLATs, QPRTs, CLAT/CLUTs, and GST-exempt trusts
Conduct in-depth legal research and produce well-reasoned memos and correspondence
Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and internal stakeholders
Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning and probate/trust administration
Admitted to the Washington State Bar
Proven ability to manage multiple client matters with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
Strong command of relevant estate, tax, and trust laws
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
LL.M. in Taxation preferred
Excellent legal research and analytical writing skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal communication abilities
Quick learning and adaptability in a fast-paced legal environment
