Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4+ years of broad-based litigation experience to join its Los Angeles office. Location:

Duties:

• Manage all phases of litigation including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions

• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts

• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial

• Handle court appearances and assist in trial proceedings

• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and execution

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda

• Advise clients on litigation strategy and risk

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of litigation experience

• Background in commercial litigation matters (e.g., breach of contract, tortious interference, breach of fiduciary duty)

• Experience with depositions, discovery, and trial preparation

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively

• Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality legal work

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar

Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Excellent legal research and analytical skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

• Collaborative, with the ability to work independently when needed

• Proficient in litigation software and Microsoft Office Suite
