Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney specializing in Medical Malpractice to join their team in Wheat Ridge, CO. The successful candidate will lead complex cases from initial evaluation through resolution or trial, ensuring effective advocacy and outcomes.

Duties

  • Manage litigation cases from filing to resolution, including client engagement and documentation.
  • Analyze and prepare cases by reviewing evidence and developing trial strategies.
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders to gather information and provide updates.
  • Review and organize medical records to strengthen case arguments.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including motions and trial briefs.
  • Conduct and respond to discovery, and prepare expert witnesses for testimony.
  • Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Monitor litigation budgets and ensure compliance with policies and agreements.
  • Stay current on case law and procedural rules through legal research.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree with active admission to the Colorado Bar.
  • 3+ years of experience in medical malpractice or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of medical malpractice law and relevant statutes.
  • Demonstrated ability in drafting motions and managing discovery.
  • Skilled in client representation at various legal proceedings.
  • Exceptional analytical skills for evaluating medical records and building strategies.
  • Proficient in legal research and fact analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and legal case management systems.
