Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Green Bay, Wisconsin office. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners on diverse civil litigation matters, including business, real estate, and construction disputes, while developing professional networks and client relationships.

Duties

  • Assist partners in representing clients in various civil litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and preparing deposition outlines.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on case strategy and client communication.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing firm clients through responsive and high-quality service.
  • Participate in professional networking and business development activities to cultivate new client relationships.
  • Stay current on legal developments relevant to litigation practice.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar, or eligibility for admission.
  • 1-5 years of litigation experience preferred (judicial clerkship experience is valued).
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Interest in developing a long-term legal practice and client relationships in the Green Bay community.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a team-oriented environment.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar, or eligibility for admission.
