Habitability Litigation Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Habitability Litigation Attorney in Glendale, California. This role offers the opportunity to independently manage cases, develop litigation strategies, and make a significant impact for clients in habitability and landlord-tenant disputes.

Duties

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategy and evaluate case value.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal briefs.
• Conduct depositions and attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Prepare cases for trial and work directly with clients throughout litigation.
• Negotiate settlements when appropriate.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and litigation support staff.

Requirements

• Active California Bar license.
• Litigation experience of 3+ years.
• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload.
• Plaintiff-side litigation experience is a plus but not required.
• Habitability or landlord-tenant litigation experience is a plus but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active California Bar license.
