Job Overview

A law firm seeks a midlevel associate to join its Los Angeles office, focusing on consumer class action and privacy litigation. This role offers the opportunity to engage in significant litigation work, supporting a high volume of class action and privacy matters.

Duties

  • Support and manage consumer class action and privacy litigation matters.
  • Engage in federal and state court proceedings and arbitrations.
  • Conduct legal research and draft briefs with precision and clarity.
  • Manage discovery processes, particularly in class action and mass arbitration contexts.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies.
  • Adapt to the evolving landscape of class action, mass arbitration, and privacy law.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of relevant litigation experience in class action/mass arbitration.
  • Consumer class action experience preferred; privacy litigation experience is a major bonus.
  • Proven experience in federal and state courts.
  • Clerkship experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently or under supervision.
  • Exceptional writing skills and proficiency in legal research and brief writing.
  • Some discovery experience, especially in class actions, is desirable.
  • Admission to practice law in California.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the California State Bar.
