Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Innovation Counsel to join their Practice Innovation team in Denver, CO. This role involves advancing practice-specific initiatives to maximize the value of innovation technologies and practices. The position requires collaboration with practice group leadership and other teams to drive best practices in leveraging legal technology.

Duties

  • Support legal technology adoption initiatives impacting practice groups.
  • Design and prepare playbooks for best practices in innovation technologies.
  • Organize presentations, status reports, and executive briefings.
  • Collaborate with leadership in prioritizing requests and initiatives.
  • Work with innovation teams to develop objectives and success metrics.
  • Analyze practice group workflows to identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive legal technology pilots and continuous improvements.
  • Assist change management teams in developing communication campaigns.
  • Maintain practice group-specific resources and automate efforts.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of applicable experience in legal practice or technology adoption.
  • Active bar membership or registered in-house counsel status.
  • Experience in cross-functional projects involving legal technology teams.
  • Understanding of large law firm financial and work allocation processes.

Education

  • Juris Doctor or non-US equivalent.

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing of the bar(s) in applicable jurisdictions.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and firm applications.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve legal service delivery problems.
  • Experience with technology usage data and metrics.
  • Ability to build and grow business relationships.
