Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Attorney to join the Public Finance practice in Westerville, OH. This role is ideal for an experienced attorney interested in enhancing their expertise in public finance transactions with a focus on economic development, working closely with seasoned partners and clients.

Duties

  • Manage conduit bond financings from term sheet to post-closing, including document drafting and negotiation.
  • Draft and negotiate documents related to economic development, such as legislation and development agreements.
  • Advise clients on structuring economic development tools and related financings.
  • Conduct due diligence for financing transactions, including reviewing organizational documents and insurance certificates.
  • Demonstrate commitment to achieving client goals.

Requirements

  • Experience managing general obligation and revenue bond transactions.
  • Knowledge of Ohio port authority capacities and transactions.
  • Experience with tax increment financing proceedings and transactions.
  • Proficient in drafting legislation for Ohio municipalities and public entities.
  • Strong organizational and matter management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Education

  • Admitted to practice in Ohio with an active bar license or able to be admitted within the first year of employment.
