Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Associate Attorney in Chicago, IL. This role offers early responsibility and hands-on case management within a high-performing practice focused on personal injury matters. The successful candidate will contribute to the firm's growth and legal excellence.

Duties

  • Represent clients in personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents and premises liability.
  • Manage a full caseload from intake through resolution, including litigation.
  • Evaluate claims, analyze liability and damages, and develop case strategies.
  • Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure timely progression of matters.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to support workflow and operational goals.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing in Missouri; additional jurisdictions a plus.
  • 1-3 years of personal injury or comparable litigation experience required.
  • Strong work ethic and high level of accountability.
  • Ability to manage a demanding caseload efficiently.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical abilities.
  • Professional judgment and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing in Missouri.
