Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its O'Fallon, IL office. The firm specializes in complex civil litigation, including toxic tort, product liability, and commercial litigation. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team dedicated to achieving optimal results for clients.

Duties

  • Handle local and national accounts across Illinois, Missouri, and New York.
  • Independently manage a litigation caseload.
  • Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial.
  • Review and analyze discovery requests.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests, pleadings, and motions.
  • Engage in trial preparation and support.
  • Maintain accurate time records.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in general litigation, complex litigation, toxic tort liability, or environmental liability.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice in Illinois, Missouri, and/or New York.
  • Experience with motion practice and depositions.
  • Experience leading plaintiff and expert depositions.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Superior research and writing skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and analyze complex matters.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice law in Illinois, Missouri, and/or New York.

Skills
