Job Overview

A law firm seeks an IP & Technology Litigation Associate in San Francisco. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients across various industries, focusing on technology, Internet law, crypto, privacy, intellectual property, and complex commercial litigation.

Duties

  • Handle litigation involving artificial intelligence technology, including copyright and data collection issues.
  • Manage Internet law class actions related to consumer protection laws.
  • Address intellectual property matters, including trade secret, copyright, trademark, and patent issues.
  • Engage in complex commercial litigation involving cryptocurrency and technology companies.
  • Oversee privacy and data security matters, including incident response and data breach class actions.
  • Litigate speech-related technology cases, including those involving Section 230 and defamation.

Requirements

  • Two to six years of litigation experience.
  • Experience in a mid to large law firm preferred.
  • Proficiency in drafting pleadings and briefs, conducting research, and managing discovery.
  • Interest in technology, Internet law, defamation, crypto, privacy, and intellectual property.
  • In-house litigation management experience for a technology company is a plus.
  • Good standing with the CA Bar.

Education

  • Solid academic performance in law school.

Certifications

  • Membership in the California Bar.

  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills.
