Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Corporate Associate to join its Export Controls and Sanctions Practice in Troy, Michigan. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney eager to work in a highly respected firm with strong international capabilities.

Duties

  • Navigate International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Advise on OFAC Sanctions Programs and other applicable regulations.
  • Engage with U.S. government contracts and Customs and Border Protection laws.
  • Assist with foreign investment approvals through CFIUS.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of corporate transactions experience preferred.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan or eligible for admission.
  • Experience in international trade regulation is advantageous.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • State Bar of Michigan license or eligibility for admission.

Skills

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Publication history is a plus.
