Job Overview

A law firm seeks a real estate transactional associate in Oakland, CA. The ideal candidate will have three to six years of experience representing nonprofit and for-profit entities or public agencies in affordable housing, community and economic development, and related fields.

Duties

  • Represent clients in real estate acquisition and disposition.
  • Handle financing, ownership structuring, and taxation matters.
  • Navigate government funding or subsidy programs.
  • Manage rental housing or affordable housing program operations.
  • Ensure regulatory and legal compliance.
  • Independently manage significant portions of transaction structuring and closing.

Requirements

  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
  • Three to six years of relevant experience.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • State Bar of California membership.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
