Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. The role involves handling non-judicial foreclosure, bankruptcy, and title matters, representing financial institution clients with loss mitigation and asset recovery services. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional client service.

Duties

  • Draft and prepare legal documents for court filing, including FDCPA Letters, Demand Letters, Notices of Sale, and Sheriff's Deeds.
  • Represent client interests and provide strategic legal counsel on various issues.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
  • Review court alerts and provide compliance guidance promptly.
  • Work cross-functionally with attorneys, legal assistants, support staff, and external vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a law school.
  • Minnesota licensed attorney.
  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience in real estate, foreclosure, bankruptcy, title, collections, or creditors' rights.
  • Knowledge of Minnesota court procedures and filing requirements.
  • Experience in CaseAware or a similar case management system preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) required.
