Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney to join its Energy and Infrastructure practice in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have experience in energy projects related to renewables and energy storage, with a focus on energy offtake work, including renewable energy power purchase agreements and related contracts.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate renewable energy power purchase agreements.
  • Advise clients on energy storage offtake agreements.
  • Handle offtakes for carbon removal credits and nuclear offtakes.
  • Work on renewable energy credit agreements and hedging agreements.
  • Collaborate with clients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 3-9+ years of relevant experience in energy projects.
  • Excellent academic credentials and superior communication skills.
  • Membership to the State Bar in the location of practice.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

  • State Bar membership in good standing.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in handling complex legal documents.
