Job Overview

A law firm seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join its practice in Arkansas. This role involves managing a diverse caseload and addressing various consumer protection legal issues. The position requires remote communication with the firm's headquarters in New York City.

Duties

  • Maintain and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload of clients in Arkansas.
  • Communicate with clients regarding their respective matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and review and draft agreements.
  • Communicate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
  • Conduct legal research on simple and complex issues in contract and consumer law.
  • Travel for in-court appearances as required.

Requirements

  • Currently admitted to practice law in Arkansas; multi-state admission is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
  • Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in legal research; LexisNexis experience is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Arkansas.
