Marshall Slayton has lived in the Charlottesville area for almost 35 years. He is a member of Holy Comforter Catholic Church where he serves as an usher as well as on the church's finance counsel. He enjoys swimming, singing, and listening to classical music. He also likes to cook and, more importantly, likes to eat what he cooks! He makes a mean smoked pork BBQ. Family is important to him. He's been married to his wife, Fran, for 30 years and together they have a daughter they are very proud of. Marshall attended college at UVA, where he met Fran and graduated with high distinction in 1988. After getting married, Marshall and Fran both graduated from UVA's law school in 1994.
