The Plato Law Firm has decades of experience in the areas of municipal, construction, insurance defense and employment law. The founder of the firm, Edward Plato, has had the privilege of representing and defending municipalities, contractors, engineers, insurance companies and employers for over 30 years. The firm will also represent individuals, in select cases, in employment and personal injury matters. Mr. Plato presently serves as City/Township Attorney and as liability defense counsel for several municipalities in Southeastern Michigan. He also has successfully represented over 30 different contractors and engineering firms, either directly or through their insurance carriers, in all aspects of construction litigation involving commercial, public construction and residential projects. Mr. Plato has been the general liability counsel for Dan's Excavating, Inc., Michigan's major highway contractor, for over 25 years and has also been appointed as Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan representing the Michigan Department of Transportation with regard to highway construction litigation.
