About Fred W. Grady & Associates

Fred W. Grady was born in Grosse Pointe Farms Michigan and was raised in Valparaiso Indiana. After graduating from Valparaiso High School, Fred attended Indiana University at Bloomington and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance and a minor in Liberal Arts. After finishing his undergraduate education, Fred attended Valparaiso University School of Law where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence.

Fred's first legal job was with the US District Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Indiana as an Assistant United States Attorney, as lead counsel on numerous jury trials involving a wide variety of Federal criminal violations and civil actions. During his tenure at the United States Attorney's Office, Fred was assigned to work with the Special Grand Jury on white collar crime and political corruption with the Chicago Strike Force investigations, as well as numerous Political Corruption cases; notably the Prosecution of Former Hobart Chief of Police Robert Frank, for extortion and tax evasion; as well as the prosecution of a major Mafia leader.

After serving the US District Attorneys Office, Fred moved back to Valparaiso and became a Prosecutor for Porter County Indiana; while serving as a Major Felony Prosecutor for Porter County, Fred successfully prosecuted the notorious murder case of State v. Todrei Sanders 79 PSCR 112, latter affirmed on appeal. After serving as as a Prosecutor for Porter County, Fred entered into private practice where his focus is in Personal Injury, Corporate & Business, Criminal Law, and other areas. Fred is most notably remembered in past years for successfully defending the Chief of Police of the New Chicago Police Department against political corruption charges and the famous civil suit involving Malibu Media porn lawsuit scandal 2:13-cv-00097-JD-JEM.

Fred has also served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Indiana University Northwest in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and has lectured at and contributed to the Trial Advocacy curriculum at Valparaiso University School of Law. As a private practitioner, Fred has successfully utilized his background and experience to serve the firm's clients through thoughtful representation on a broad range of services.
