Alan, Michael, Amy, and Mark have spent their combined 125+ years in the legal profession dedicated to representing persons injured by the negligence of others. Michael joined Alan in 1981 at Sylvester & Maley, and Amy joined the plaintiffs' personal injury lawyers at Sylvester & Maley in 1992. In 2013, Alan, Michael, and Amy announced the continuation of their Personal Injury Law Practice under the name of Sylvester & Brow, PLLC. In 2016, Attorney Mark Sylvester, formerly of the Florida based personal injury law firm, Leesfield Scolaro, joined Sylvester & Brow. Since 1981, their offices have been located in the historic downtown district of Burlington, Vermont, in close proximity to the state and federal courts. Our attorneys are admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Vermont, Florida and Massachusetts.
Our Experience
The experience and excellence of Sylvester & Brow's trial attorneys is reflected in the success they have had representing injured individuals, and the recognition they have received. We have been successful in recovering by jury verdict and settlement sums ranging from $1 Million to $5.4 Million on 20 occasions. The jury verdicts include the highest Wrongful Death award in the United States District Court, and the highest Recreational Accident award in Vermont Superior Court. In 2015, we recovered over $1.2 million dollars on behalf of victims of medical malpractice.
