In 1989, Sherrie came to Dallas. She opened her solo law practice the following year. Sherrie's practice consists of mediation, estate planning, and general civil litigation which has included the following areas of law: contracts, family, juvenile, probate, and real estate. Sherrie began closing real estate transactions in 1990. Gay, who is not an attorney, joined her mother in 1993 as her escrow officer. After that time the primary focus of the office turned to closing real estate transactions. In 1998, Sherrie became affiliated with Stewart Title Company and moved offices to their current location where Tim Cameron came on as office manager and Clare Howard as shipper.
