It is a privilege to serve the public interest in such a direct and tangible manner, and we are grateful for all of the confidence placed in us by our clients.Harbottle Law Group is also a member of the approved defense counsel panels for Southern California Relief, and ASCIP, and thus is able to provide seamless representation on behalf of public schools in cases that involve special education as well as other disability rights issues. HLG is also deeply engaged in the Orange County Superintendents? Special Education Alliance. Since its inception, Mr. Harbottle has served on a pro bono basis as a member of the Alliance, a Joint Powers Authority charged with addressing those unique issues arising in the education of students with special needs. The Alliance focuses heavily on staff development and community outreach, and HLG members have presented numerous seminars on behalf of the Alliance.Additionally, Mr. Harbottle served a term on the California Office of Administrative Hearings Advisory Committee, which advises the Office of Administrative Hearings on special education due process and mediation procedures. The Advisory Committee meets twice yearly, and the meetings are webcast permitting opportunities for broad participation among interested groups and individuals.
