David G. Phoenix graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign in 1986 with a BA in Political Science. In 1989, he received his Juris Doctorate degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law, where he was a member of the NIU Law Review. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1989 and the Missouri Bar in 1990.
