I'm Brenda. I wanted to share a little something about me, so we can begin our journey. My passion is helping individuals and families to secure their plans and develop a legacy that can be cherished.
Before going to law school, I began my career as a paralegal for a solo practitioner in downtown Chicago. Really, I started as an intern and was hired as a part-time hourly worker. I figured that if working in the legal field was going to be my career, I should be sure before investing so much time and money.
Once I got to law school, I had this whole idea of the type of law I wanted to practice and the type of client I wanted to serve. After graduation, all that changed. I wanted to be able to be an attorney that could directly serve and benefit the client. I knew that practicing law was the right thing, but I was searching yet for the right firm to call home, to be the place where I fit both in the culture of that firm, but also in the way that they practiced.
After a year of searching for that right firm or company, I realized that I was not going to find the place I was looking for, my own home. So, I thought it made sense to step out and practice on my own. I opened this firm with the idea of bringing back the Personal Family Lawyer relationship - where initial planning is just the beginning of the relationship and I'm focused on putting in place a plan I know will work for you and the people you love
