Josh Peter began his legal career in 2003 when he first volunteered to help at the Public Defender Trial office in Kansas City, Missouri while still in law school. He then spent the next 12 years at the trial office representing thousands of clients facing criminal charges ranging from DWI to Murder. While at the public Defender's office he also served as a trial team leader, assisting a team of attorney with their caseload and trial strategies. In January 2016, Josh and a fellow public defender, Garrett Solomon, left public service to form their own firm, Solomon & Peter, LLP, where they are dedicated to representing individuals charged with all levels of crimes in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Their firm handles everything from municipal traffic tickets to the most serious of felony charges. Josh graduated from the University of Central Missouri with degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science, before attending the University of Missouri - Kansas City where he obtained his law degree. He is a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College, and has been a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a board member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and a counsel member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Missouri Bar.
