The firm was founded by Craig Russell. Mr. Russell has been in the workers' compensation business for more than 35 years, 31 which have been spent as an attorney. He managed the Orange County office of Evans, Cumming and Malter until he left to open his own firm in Fullerton in September, 1997. After beginning as a sole practitioner, he expanded the firm in 2009 when he opened a Los Angeles County office in Glendale. In 2019, the firm expanded to Northern California with the opening of its Walnut Creek office.

The current downtown Fullerton location provides easy access to all Workers' Compensation Appeals Boards in Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, as well as the Long Beach, Pomona and San Diego Appeals Boards. The Glendale location primarily handles the Los Angeles, Van Nuys and Marina del Rey Appeals Boards. The Walnut Creek office handles the boards in Northern California. The size of the staff allows the firm to easily accommodate even last-minute calendar requests.
