Lisa was born and raised in rural Alberta. She moved to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta, where she completed a Bachelor of Science before being admitted to the University of Alberta Faculty of Law to complete her law degree. Upon completing Law School, she articled with Tom Engel and remained on with him for several years. She then took a position with Moreau and Company, where she worked for 3 years before opening Trach Law in December of 2012
