Lawyer with the Bars of Paris and New York, established in Paris, Denis Bensaude is a specialist (decision CNB of October 23rd, 2012) recognized of the law of the international arbitration. After starting his professional career in 1991 in the mergers and acquisitions and international finance fields, he has been practicing international arbitration for more than fifteen years. Denis set up his own firm in 2004. He acts mainly as an arbitrator, and represents or advises companies and states in international and domestic arbitrations, or in national proceedings related to the enforcement of awards and arbitration agreements. Former Advisor in the Secretariat of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Member of the International Commercial Arbitration Committee of the International Law Association and the French Committee of Private International Law, he appears among the "young" renowned referees around the world. Denis has extensive experience in leading arbitration institutions and regulations and acts in a variety of economic areas; they deal with shareholder disputes, joint ventures, the telecommunication or pharmacy industry, shipbuilding, construction, production and distribution of raw materials and energy, international sales of goods or even agriculture. Through his teaching at the University (Dauphine, Cornell, Villetaneuse, Leiden), as his participation in various professional associations dedicated to arbitration or international law (CFDIP, CFA, ILA, AFA), and his frequent contributions to specialized legal journals (Journal of Arbitration, Gazette du Palais, Journal of International Arbitration), Denis keeps himself regularly informed of the latest developments in the law of international arbitration.
