After receiving the BA Degree in Physics from the University of Chicago in 1979, Mr. Economou attended the John Marshall Law School, now part of the University of Illinois, where he was awarded a Juris Doctor Degree in 1983. His experience of two years as an Examiner in the Optoelectronic arts at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and as a patent attorney in industry for a major aerospace corporation, at several respected law firms, both in Chicago and in the Washington, DC area, the Economou IP law offices were opened in Chicago in 2009. Economou IP Law has repeatedly obtained numerous important patents and trademarks for its clients, has negotiated and enforced IP licenses, has been involved in patent and trademark litigation and appeals, and has maintained an unsurpassed level of expertise and quality.
