As a lawyer practicing in a small town, I have the pleasure (and challenge) of mastering many fields of law. In one day, I may spend the morning negotiating a business contract, and the afternoon litigating the custody of a two-year old. I might be prosecuting a boundary dispute on land in the morning, and helping someone probate their late mother's estate in the afternoon. Sometimes, I practice at night, appearing before a governing body or board with a zoning matter or property tax appeal.
