In 1957 Nick Thiros was admitted to the Indiana Bar and practiced law in Gary, Indiana. In 1971 Nick joined forces with Max Cohen, who had also practiced in Gary since the early 1950's, and the law firm of Cohen & Thiros began. The pair soon gained notoriety in the areas of personal injury and criminal defense. In 1987 Mark Thiros joined the firm followed by James Thiros in 1988, with Mark focusing in personal injury cases and James in criminal defense. In 1997 Paul Stracci began his law practice with the firm, just prior to Max Cohen's retirement. Recently, Mark, James and Paul renamed the firm to Thiros & Stracci. The legacy of dedication, creativity, negotiating skills and strong court room presence, taught by Nick and Max, continues.
