Whistleblower cases are unique in many ways. First, the whistleblower law called The False Claims Act allows an individual to file a case on behalf of the government and if the government likes the case and intervenes, it is likely to be successful. To become a whistleblower a person must have unique, undisclosed information about fraud on the government. Because fraud must be presented in significant detail claims take a lot of analysis, care and time to prepare. In addition, there a certain amount of investigation serves to build the proper foundation for a strong claim. In addition, all of this has to be done within a limited amount of time as the whistleblower laws reward the first to file. Proper preparation of a disclosure to the government may mean reading thousands of documents and meeting with the client many times. If done correctly however, a viable case will be set forward on the right course.
