Mr. Norris' entire career has been dedicated to criminal defense work. Before he became a lawyer, Mr. Norris spent six years as an investigator for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia (PDS). After earning his JD from the University of Maryland, Mr. Norris spent a decade at PDS trying juvenile matters, homicides, assaults, and drug/firearm related offenses. For his outstanding work and dedication, Mr. Norris was promoted to Deputy Trial Chief, Lead Attorney for Homicide, and Acting Chief of Investigations. Each of these positions allowed him to not only try his own cases, but to train and mentor generations of young lawyers and investigators.

In 2000, Mr. Norris left PDS to found his own private practice: The Law Offices of Jon W. Norris. When Marc Rochon and Michele Roberts transitioned out of criminal defense work, they passed the baton (and their clients) to Mr. Norris. Bernard S.
