Salley, Hite, Mercer & Resor (SHM&R) was founded in April of 2004 with the goal of providing outstanding legal services in specialized fields of practice at competitive rates. All of the Firm's name partners, practiced together for many years at a pre-eminent, Downtown New Orleans law firm where they honed their litigation skills in a variety of areas including insurance coverage and defense litigation, banking litigation, transportation litigation, products liability litigation, environmental litigation and tax related litigation. The attorneys that make up the SHM&R team have a vast amount of experience practicing in both the State and Federal Courts of Louisiana. They are also actively involved with the Defense Research Institute and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.
