Carole is a past chair of the Elder Law Section of the NC State Bar Association, and has been a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys since 1999.

She served as a member of the Ethics Committee of Watauga Medical Center in Boone, North Carolina for nine years, and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Clabough Charitable Foundation.

A native of Asheville, Beth is a graduate of N.C. State University and the Southeastern Paralegal Institute in Nashville, TN.
