Mr. Butler is a former U.S. Attorney for the State of Arizona. He began his legal career in the Pima County Attorney's Office and then the United States Attorney's Office where he gained recognition for his successful prosecution of organized crime boss Joseph Bonano and worked on many high-profile Southern Arizona cases. After a decade of public service as a prosecutor, Mr. Butler was a partner in the law firm of Butler & Stein for almost twenty years. He then became a Director in the law firm of Fennemore Craig, Arizona's oldest law firm. Almost three years ago, Mr. Butler opened his own law office.
