Edward W. Lautenschlager is a graduate of Virginia Tech and the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William & Mary. For 36 years, he has served as a Commonwealth's Attorney in Salem. He is both an experienced prosecutor and a defense attorney. This work has provided him with great insight into criminal law and courtroom dynamics. Attorney Lautenschlager also has vast experience in assisting clients with real estate and estate planning matters. He routinely assists businesses and individuals in contract and land use matters. As an active member of the community, Mr. Lautenschlager is past president and member of the Rotary Club of Salem and serves on the governing board for the Salem Educational Foundation and Alumni Association. He is also an active member and past president of the Salem/Roanoke County Bar Association.
