Andy Dwyer has exclusively represented the interests of employees against their employers since 1996, with a practice that heavily emphasizes litigation in the trial and appellate courts. He has tried to verdict claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation and breach of contract. He has argued cases at all levels of the New Jersey courts, including the New Jersey Supreme Court, and has established important precedents in several areas of employment law. Dwyer Barrett's practice is focused on employment litigation in state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels. Our cases have set precedents in such diverse areas as the protections for whistleblowers, psychiatric exams of discrimination plaintiffs, the compelled arbitration of discrimination claims, punitive damages and the taxation of jury verdicts in employment cases. Our caseload runs the range of employment litigation, including claims for sexual harassment, handicap discrimination, whistleblowing, retaliation and sexual orientation discrimination. We have brought suit against a wide array of employers, including Fortune 500 companies, smaller private employers, hospitals, universities and various government employers.
