Nancy Hungerford founded the firm upon her graduation from Lewis & Clark Law School in 1981, after serving as the Human Resources Director for the North Clackamas School District for five years. Nancy practiced as a solepractitioner for 15 years before other family members joined the practice. Nancy built a statewide firm, representing districts of all sizes, from Pine Eagle to Portland. She has represented school districts and community colleges in collective bargaining (more than 350 contracts bargained since 1981), unfair labor practice and other ERB cases, Fair Dismissal cases, labor arbitration, and due process hearings under the IDEA. Nancy continues to practice full-time, in all of these areas. In addition, she authors the Oregon Labor Law Digest newsletter and supplements for Oregon Labor Law Today. Nancy was selected by her peers to be included in the 2013 Best Lawyers in America for her work in the practice area of Education Law.
