VELMA Law provides legal advice on Tanzanian matters in Corporate/Commercial, PPP / Infrastructure, Energy, Finance / Project Finance, Mining, Oil and Gas, Agriculture, Land, Telecommunications, Pro Bono, Employment, Tax and Immigration law.

We are a team of 10 lawyers, including 1 local consultant and 3 external international specialist consultants.

Our office is in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

VELMA Law was founded on 1 May 2012 by:

Victoria Makani, who was requested by the Government in July 2015 to become a Justice of the High Court of Tanzania and as a consequence was required to resign from this firm which she had so carefully nurtured; and
Nicholas Zervos, until 2006 a London based finance and international projects partner who has been advising in Dar es Salaam since 2006 and was admitted to the bar in Tanzania in 2011.
