The firm of Heslinga, Dixon and Hite has been a continuous presence in Mahaska and the surrounding counties since 1948. The original firm was started in 1895 by Irving Johnson and was acquired by Garold F. Heslinga in 1948 who was quickly joined in practice by his brother, Harold B. Heslinga. David D. Dixon joined the firm in 1980. Dustin D. Hite joined the firm in 2009. Randy S. DeGeest joined the firm in 2018. The firm now consists of David D. Dixon, Dustin D. Hite, and Randy S. DeGeest with Garold F. Heslinga still providing insight and knowledge after retiring with over sixty-six years of experience.
