Meet Blue Dot Advocates. Since 2009 our team of attorneys and colleagues have been working with global entrepreneurs, concentrating more and more on social enterprises as vehicles for impact investing. As advocates for this pale blue dot on which we live (a Carl Sagan homage), we continue to believe that thoughtful business and finance can improve quality of life for everyone, all around the world. And, with the more recent ubiquity of the term "Impact Investing," the world is taking notice.

We seek to provide legal counsel that promotes the common good and maximizes the well-being of all the people and communities affected by the results of our work. In 2013 we were the first law firm in Colorado to become a Certified B Corp, in order to reflect our social convictions, and on July 1, 2017, we were excited to become Blue Dot Advocates, PBC, a Public Benefit Cooperative.

Why? The hope is that operating a law firm as a cooperative will illustrate to our clients and their business partners that there are many ways that everyone can try to balance monetary achievement with higher purposes. We understand that "business as usual" is increasingly not a sustainable trajectory, and pledge to do our part to protect our pale Blue Dot.
