For eight years, Attorney Don Schweitzer wasn't just known as a family attorney ? he was known as one of the most effective deputy district attorneys in Orange County. He has a proven track record of results with a 95% conviction rate in over 70 trials. During his time as a deputy district attorney, he was also a part of the Family Support unit, as well as numerous criminal prosecution units involving complex, difficult issues. Prior to becoming an attorney, his knowledge of criminal law was founded during a 10-year career as a police officer, serving as a member of S.W.A.T. and as a homicide detective.

In the early 2000s, Don decided that he wanted to serve the people of Southern California in a different way. He left behind his success as a prosecutor and opened a private practice. Together with his wife, Maria Schweitzer, he started a family law practice in the heart of historic Pasadena. In 2003, the Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer was founded on the same principles that led to Don's success as a prosecutor ? exceptional trial skills, vast knowledge of case law and legal code outcomes.
