The law and insolvency practice JAFF? is predominantly active in the field of insolvency administration, insolvency law and the associated areas of law on a national level; it was founded by Dr Michael Jaff? in 1993. We currently operate in eight locations, with seven insolvency administrators who are appointed in six different federal states. In addition, Dr Jaff? is often active in group insolvency proceedings with an international reach. Early application of the insolvency regulation in conjunction with our experience, and using the excellent and reliable legal framework available, allows us to achieve rapid restructuring with protection from individual enforcement. By using the framework of the insolvency proceedings we work out successful restructuring solutions with the parties concerned, and then we make them happen, with, for example, insolvency plan proceedings. Our experience and our independence provide a guarantee of fair, transparent and successful proceedings, particularly when there are complex company and financing structures involved. We act in insolvency proceedings for companies of all sizes and sectors, although our particular experience is in the field of group insolvencies with an international reach. We also have particular expertise in the exploitation of intellectual property, as in the cases of KirchMedia and Qimonda, proceedings which were widely reported internationally. We have a long-standing, well-established national and international network which we are able to activate in order to deal with cross-border cases.
