The firm of Hughes, Rote, Brouhard, & Thorpe, LLP was originally founded in 1947 by Gene Brown, who started as a lawyer in Grants Pass, Oregon shortly after World War II. During the war, Gene served with the 101st Airborne Division and was involved in all of its major engagements. Gene continued to practice until 1986, adding attorneys and partners to the firm over time. HRBT is presently comprised of four partners: Daniel F. Hughes, Frank C. Rote, Jason S. Brouhard, and Amanda C. Thorpe. The firm provides a broad range of legal services and its practice extends to Josephine, Jackson, Klamath, Douglas, Coos, Curry, and other counties.
