The firm owes its name to Gerald Berrigan who established the firm in 1927 and Jeffrey Doube who subsequently joined the firm as a Partner. Berrigan Doube Lawyers was incorporated from a partnership in 2007. In 2011, Berrigan Doube Lawyers acquired the law firm of Winchester Young Maddern.
